I have found the gearbox quite difficult to get used to even with 35 years driving experience, many of them on automatics. I was worried about it and took it to a Renault dealer who said that he thought it was probably normal. It too rattles when I crawl up my access road in first at just above tickover speed. I noticed the rattle on my Renault 2.5 dci 120 Quickshift6-equipped van from new and have since done 11284 miles over 18 months. He said there was nothing wrong with the gearbox and there was nothing Opel could (or would) do for me. He stated that the noise would be perfectly normal for this kind of gearbox. My ever so helpful dealer couldn't help me, so we arranged a meeting with a specialist from Opel to have a look at my car. You can't hear it when the engine revs more, possibly because the engine's noise drowns the rattling noise. The gearbox performs beautifully but there is an annoying rattling sound when the engine is working under 2000/min. My Opel Movano (= Renault Master) is equipped with the self-shifting gearbox called Quickshift (or Tecshift in Opel-speak).
